How to join

Registration for the club is through the Spond platform, our principal means of communication with members. Prospective members should complete and submit the form below. Once that is received by the membership secretary, applicants will be invited to join the club's Spond group where, by filling in the required fields and paying the subscription  (see Cost below), they will become members.

When registering on Spond, please note that only your contact details (email, phone number) will be visible to other members.

The club is affiliated to Mountaineering Scotland and members enjoy the benefits offered by the representative body, including third party liability insurance and discounts on courses and retail outlets. If you are already a member of Mountaineering Scotland (MS), please fill in the relevant fields on Spond. For all other new members, the membership secretary will register you with MS.

NB: We will provide only essential details to MS and recommend that you update your MS member profile once registered. Read their privacy policy here

Cost

The club year runs from 1st April to 31st March, with annual subscriptions due after the AGM in April. The full fee is £30, £20.75 of which goes to Scottish Mountaineering (MS). The fee for members who are Individual members of MS or who pay their subscription to MS through another club is £10.

Fees for new members is based on when they join the club, as follows:

  • From 1 April to 30 September: £30

  • From 1 October to 31 December: £15

  • From 1 January to 31 March: £10

  • For Individual members of MS or for those who pay their subscription to MS through another club the fee is £10, irrespective of when they join the club.
